Sarah Clark received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Morgan State University in 2019. While at Morgan, Sarah had the opportunity to take part in the Guatemala Global Health study abroad trip that led to the development of the STEAM Abroad program. Sarah is currently serving as a Research Associate supporting the Readiness Emergency Management for Schools Technical Assistance (REMS TA) Center. In this role she contributes to research and the development of guidance resources that support school safety planning and student mental health, including resources specific to studying abroad. Sarah is additionally pursuing her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Dayton and volunteers at the St. Vincent De Paul Homeless Shelter as part of her traineeship. At St. Vincent De Paul, Sarah is involved in the Behavioral Activation research project that aims to create long lasting change within the community. Sarah’s main responsibilities are to support mental health needs within the community, while transcending homelessness through promotion of life skills that help shelter guests secure and sustain both housing and employment. After graduating, she hopes to pursue her PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology to continue advocating for community change that will in turn promote individual health and well-being as a whole.
